What a VPN is and what it is for

A VPN is an encrypted channel between your device and our server. While it is on, your apps' traffic travels inside that channel: sites and services see the server's address rather than your home or mobile one, and the network you went online through sees only a connection to a single address, with no way to read what is inside.

What that changes in practice

  • Other people's networks. In a café, hotel or airport, neither the owner of the access point nor the people next to you can pick your traffic apart; it is encrypted until it leaves the tunnel.
  • The network you connect from. Your carrier or ISP sees that you connected to a server, not the list of sites you opened.
  • Services unavailable from your network. The request leaves from a server in another country, so a block on your own network stops getting in the way.

What a VPN does not do

  • It does not make you anonymous. If you sign in to an account, the service knows you by that account, not by your address.
  • It does not protect you from viruses, phishing or weak passwords. You still want two-factor authentication.
  • It does not speed up your internet by itself. Speed is capped by your own connection; see "What speed depends on".
  • It does not guarantee that any given service will work: services decide for themselves who they let in.

How ours is put together

We do not ask you to install an app of ours. Instead you get a personal subscription link and import it into one of the supported clients: HAPP, Karing, V2RayTun and others. The link already holds all our servers, and the app pulls them in and refreshes the list whenever we change something.

Two protocols run underneath. VLESS Reality disguises the connection as ordinary HTTPS to a real site, and Hysteria2 runs over QUIC/UDP and handles loss on mobile networks better. There is nothing to choose in advance; both are already in your subscription.

Where to start

  1. Take the 7-day trial, from a button in your account or in the bot. It is issued once.
  2. Install an app for your device: setup guides.
  3. Import the subscription link and connect.
  4. When the trial ends, extend your access on the payment page: SBP, Telegram Stars or your internal balance.

Subscription days can also come for free: for inviting friends, for tasks and XP, and for subscribing to the @obfsn channel.
